Dear Alexander #014: Become Who You Really Are

When confronted with a image of who you think you are, versus the reality of who you actually are…don’t run…meet the collision head on and become who you really are. If you simply retreat and accept “ignorance is bliss”, you live your life as a lie — your identity becomes a lie, and you come to find the foundation of the relationships you build contain cracks in them.

You may not like what you actually are at first, but you have to see it first to accept it, and then, change it. Who you think you are isn’t always who you actually are. Remember that. Be humble enough to know when to change and be better. Otherwise you’ll never fix the cracks and the house will one day come crumbling down.
